Spencer Lyons Ferrier
Mr. Ferrier has been in practice as a lawyer in Sydney for more than 35 years, with extensive legal experience in all New South Wales jurisdictions, including the High Court of Australia.
Mr. Ferrier is a certificated mediator and the mediation of disputes is a frequent and recurring style of case management employed by the firm.
Mr. Ferrier has been personally associated with the aviation industry for more than 30 years. He is a private pilot with a multi engine instrument rating. He has owned and traded many aircraft, principally single-engine piston aircraft. He conducts cases in Australia and the USA, being familiar with the aviation laws of both countries.
Mr. Ferrier lectures occasionally on Aviation Law matters in Australia and in the USA, where he has been guest lecturer on several occasions, including lecturing on International Aviation Law at the well-known Embry-Riddle University at Daytona, Florida.
Mr. Ferrier has been a member of the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association of the USA for over 20 years. He is a member of the Aviation Law Association of Australia and a Liveryman of the Guild of Air Pilots of the Guildhall London. In the past he has served as President of the Royal Aero Club of NSW. He is currently Vice-President of AOPA Australia, the representative body of aircraft owners and pilots in Australia.
